I am a lifelong resident of the Aylmer area, growing up just outside of Aylmer. I attended public school in Springfield, then Davenport and graduated from East Elgin Secondary School in 1983. From there I attended The University of Western Ontario, graduating in 1986. Later that year I decided to enrol in the real estate program.
When I was first licensed I worked in London, quickly realizing that the city was not for me, so I came back to Aylmer, back home. Over the next few years, I continued the education process and achieved my Broker designation in 1993. In early 1995, 5 of my co-workers and I opened Showcase East Elgin Realty Inc. and we haven't looked back!
Currently I am a committee member of MainStreet Aylmer-BIA, belong to a "just for fun: book club and enjoy being involved in my families' activities. We have done a little bit of travelling and thoroughly enjoy touring our great country and far afield as well. I have a great interest in anything "decoration" - Home and Garden television, magazines, decor stores - you name it.

Growing up in a household where both parents were involved in the real estate industry, it seemed only natural for me to follow suit. Obtaining my real estate broker’s license back in 1987 marked the beginning of a fulfilling career. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with countless buyers and sellers, cultivating strong relationships that often blossom into enduring friendships. Real estate, to me, is more than just a profession; it’s a platform where I can leverage my depth of experience to guide clients through the intricacies of the market, home design, and investment.
Proudly calling Aylmer my home, my wife Nicole, our furry companion, and I are deeply committed to our local community and its welfare. Actively involved in various community initiatives, we invest our time, resources, and expertise to make meaningful contributions. Whether it’s serving as the Board Chair for the Aylmer Area Christian Community Association (Heritage Place), participating in the Aylmer Cemetery Board, or engaging with the Cherry Street Board, my dedication knows no bounds. Additionally, I am a proud member of the Aylmer & Area Chamber of Commerce and the Aylmer BIA, further reinforcing my commitment to community development and economic growth.
Beyond my board involvements, I extend my support to several community organizations including the Aylmer Area Community Foundation, East Elgin Community Assistance Program, Aylmer-Malahide Museum & Archives, Aylmer Pickleball, and Aylmer Optimist Toy fundraising campaign.
Recognizing the changing needs of individuals as they approach retirement, I pursued the Senior Real Estate Specialist designation (SRES), enabling me to facilitate seamless transitions for clients embarking on this new phase of life. In tandem with my real estate broker’s license, I’ve also earned the Certified Staging Professional designation, equipping me with the tools to assist sellers in optimizing their properties for maximum appeal. From strategic furniture arrangements to minor touch-ups like painting and decluttering, I offer tailored recommendations to help homes shine in the market. Similarly, for prospective buyers, I provide valuable insights on how to unlock the full potential of properties, accentuating their standout features.

I am a 4th generation Sinclair raised in the family home on Talbot St. West in Aylmer, Ontario. I attended East Elgin Secondary School before receiving a BA in Physical Education from McMaster University and a B.Ed. from Lakehead University.

My teaching career started in 1992 at Parkside Collegiate Institute in St. Thomas where I taught science, geography and physical education. After 5 years an opportunity for me came up to come home to East Elgin and teach geography and physical education. In 2000, I developed the Environmental Leadership Program, a unique 4 credit course integrating Conservation, Environmental Resource Management, and Outdoor Education.
This program provides outdoor learning experiences and opportunities that enhance the students’ attitudes towards the environment and the great outdoors. In many this attitude becomes a passion, and they go on to further their education in the Environmental or Outdoor Educational Field. Students are our future conservationists and key to a healthier future!
Volunteerism is something I truly believe in and what helps drive a community. Throughout my 30-year teaching career I have been an active member in my community. Aylmer Flames Hockey, Aylmer Pirates Baseball, Ducks Unlimited, Aylmer Minor Hockey Board and Order of Good Cheer are a few of the teams and organizations that I continue to be involved with into my retirement from teaching.
When not at work, the arena or the ballpark, my wife, son and I enjoy staying active outdoors. From biking to skiing, hiking to snowshoeing and fishing to hunting, as the seasons change so do our activities.
The communication and leadership skills developed throughout my teaching career along with my commitment, dedication and work ethic will be the skills I bring to my new career working in real estate with Showcase East Elgin Realty Inc. Brokerage.

Raised on a dairy farm outside of Lyons and an alumni of East Elgin Secondary School - Aylmer is my home town.
After living in Alberta and British Columbia for almost 20 years, and moving back to my family’s multi-generational home farm, I now have an even greater appreciation for the area’s small town charm and longstanding agricultural heritage.

While exploring and living out West, I completed a Bachelor of Education Degree at the University of Northern British Columbia. I taught mostly primary grades and advocated and consulted for various early intervention programs. Upon moving back to Ontario I most recently completed my Sales Representative training through Humber College.
I dabble in property management, gardening, exploring small towns and nature and helping my two young children learn about their life passions.
I believe that the basis for all successful working relationships is effective communication, trust, integrity, being able to pivot and keep working until the job gets done to the highest standard. I focus on actively listening and understanding individual’s needs, then tailoring my approach accordingly - at the end of the day, it’s not about me, it’s about you.
